About Bundoora

Another suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia is Bundoora. It is located 15 km northeast of Melbourne's Central Business District and is located within the local government area os of Darebin, Banyule, and Whittlesea cities.

According to the 2021 census, Bundoora has a population of 28,068.

History of Bundoora

The Kurnaj-bearing was the first person who lived in e Bundoora. Before the Europeans settled in the suburb, you can find several large wetlands in the area, which are used by the Kurnaj-berring tribe.

In 1835, Europeans first arrived in the suburb of the Bundoora area. In 1837, William Wedge-Drake surveyed the land so it can be sold. It was purchased and used for grain production and sheep grazing.

In October 1863, Bundoora Post Office opened.
